Their size and disposable nature belie the fact that soft contact lenses are highly specialized, technologically remarkable devices. This, in turn, allows for healthier, more comfortable eyes and lenses that can be worn for longer periods of time.

O2Optix Toric lenses, are not yet available although the company plans to release such a product in the near future. That being said, astigmatic patients requiring very specific corrective powers may be suitable for O2Optix wear (CIBA Visions recommends it for powers up to 1.25D).
