Coopervision Proclear Multifocal

Product Description - Coopervision Proclear Multifocal

You're a little bit older this year. And Your eyes don't seem to focus quite as well as they used to. Sound familiar? Unfortunately, a great number of people over the age of forty experience the condition known as presbyopia, wherein the ciliary muscle loses elasticity and is no longer able to control focus as it did previously. The condition is treatable using a host of solutions from bifocal reading glasses to a host of other contact lens solutions. Coopervision Proclear Multifocal lenses are just one such solution to a problem afflicting many middle-aged people nowadays.

Utilizing what the company terms 'Balanced Progressive Technology', one eye (usually the non-dominant one) is fitted with a lens wherein the near focus prescription is employed in a central zone with intermediate and distance viewing powers provided in concentric circles further away from the centre of the lens. The opposite is true in the dominant eye: central zone for distance vision and progressive concentric circles for near vision.

In addition to this technology, Coopervision's Proclear Multifocal contact lenses incorporate patented phosphorylcholine (PC) technology, which consists of molecules that attract and bind with water, keeping the lenses moist and therefore comfortable for longer periods of time. Discomfort and dryness are two complaints most often voiced by contact lens wearers and Coopervision Proclear contacts address both of these effectively by resisting dehydration and the build-up of protein deposits. Coopervision Proclear Multifocals are daily wear lenses suitable for monthly replacement schedules.

For CooperVision multifocal contacts and other multifocal, bifocal, and monovision products, take a gander at the links to the right of this article. We're sure you'll be able to see them. Otherwise you may need a multifocal lens more than you thought!
