Colored Contact Lenses

The fun to be had with Colored Contact Lenses, is David Bowie an adept? No, in his case it's natural, but colored contacts are now available online for all

When I first saw David Bowie in the 1980s (he had previously been known as Ziggy Stardust) I really though he had taken up one of the World's new fashion trends. Why? Because he had one eye color different from the other. And at that time, the World was going crazy over the new fashion fad of colored contact lenses. As it happens, I was later to find out that Bowie's condition is a natural one. But as with Bowie, the fashion trend of wearing colored contact lenses has lasted the test of time!

Today, colored contact lenses are used in a wide range of activities, but they are probably best used in the film industry to change the natural iris color of film stars. So, it is not unheard of today to see your favorite film star with blue eyes in one movie, brown eyes in another and green eyes in another. All very confusing. But, as eye color is one of the distinguishing features of a person - have you ever noticed that it is one of the questions asked in an identity kit questionnaire - the ability to be able to change the color of our iris has helped a number of occupations and people. It has even installed new confidence in people who were not entirely happy with the natural color of their iris - especially people like Asian who tend to have a more standard form of iris color. Consequently, colored contact lenses have had many positive affects.

However, one of the greatest uses of colored contact lenses today is their use in parties. With newer and safer technology colored eyes lens can now be worn which show the eyes to have shapes like stars, lizards and even card-game symbols like the Ace of Spades. All of these are a party animal's delight, but they are especially great at Halloween time!
