Acuvue Color Contacts by Johnson@Johnson come in soft and
hard lenses, prescription and non-prescription and as frequent replacement
contact lenses
Acuvue, from Johnson & Johnson, can probably be considered
one of the two big brands when it comes to contact lens lines. As
with all the other brands in their stable, Acuvue's color contacts
range, in terms of type and color choice, is quite extensive.
The first thing to note is that Acuvue features both "soft
and "hard" contacts. Soft contacts are made from a special
type of plastic that allows water to permeate through them easily.
This allows your eye to "breath" and, thus, makes wearing
the contact more comfortable. However, due to their high water density,
soft contacts do not last as long as the more plastic rigid hard
type.
In addition to having soft and hard color contacts, Acuvue also
has disposable soft color contacts and frequent replacement wear
color contacts. As their name suggests, disposable lenses can be
disposed of immediately after use and do not need any after treatment
care. However, both frequent replacement lenses and hard lenses
need to be treated and cleaned after use so as to avoid and bacterial
build-up that may cause you to have an eye infection.
In addition to having soft and hard color contact lenses, Acuvue
color contacts also come as prescription and non-prescription lenses.
Again, as their name suggests, prescription lenses require that
the wearer be prescribed to wear the lens. Whereas non-prescription
color contact lenses can be worn by those who do not, ordinarily,
require contact lenses.
Finally, Acuvue color contacts come in an assorted choice of colors
and designs. So, it is fun to check out the different styles to
see how they fit with your look and the color of your clothing.
But whatever the occasion, a lot of fun can be had from wearing
a set of Acuvue color contacts.
