Biomedics 38 contact lenses - designed for daily use

The Biomedics 38 contact lenses require replacement on a weekly or biweekly basis. The materials used to manufacture the contact lenses are 62 percent polymer and 38 percent water. They are a spherical lens used for the correction of refractive ametropia or myopia and hyperopia for people who have healthy eyes with 1.00D or less astigmatism. These contact lenses are not for people who prescriptions are outside of these parameters.

The Biomedics 38 contact lenses, like all soft contact lenses, require cleaning. Soft lens use results in the build up of protein deposits on the contact lenses which must be removed by cleaning. The contact lenses must also be disinfected daily to protect the eye from infection. The user must follow the directions for replacement and maintenance in order to have a comfortable and healthy wearing period for the contact lenses. The user can find a cleaning solution that doesn't require the rubbing of the contact lenses. This makes it easier for the user and minimizes the handling of the contact lenses. The contact lenses are tinted blue to make it easier for the user to see the contact lenses in the solution. The tint does not change the color of the user's eyes.

It is important for the user to following the directions of his eye care provider regarding the length of use of this disposable lens. Different eye care provides may have different directions as to whether the contact lenses should be worn for one week or two weeks.

The Biomedics 38 contact lenses are manufactured by Ocular Sciences and are sold under a variety of different names. The user should be aware of this fact and that any of the brand names is the same identical contact lens. The popular contact lenses are available from a variety of sources, both on and off the internet. Since there are many different pricing and packaging options, the user should do his/her comparison shopping for the best deal for the quantity the buyer is interested in purchasing.
